Here is an update of the Hospital Commission so far.
I have been commissioned to create a 122 x 122cm Tree of Life Mosaic for the Multifaith Centre at the new Midlands Metropolitan University Hospital (MMUH), Sandwell, England.
I have led participatory workshops with Brushstrokes Sandwell, as well as the Hospital Chaplaincy. Brushstrokes participants learnt tile ciutting skills and created the meadow flower petals used in the lower half of the panel.
The participants also created beautiful colour work of the Mandala Patterns which are being translated into tiles by Tile Fire based in Stoke on Trent.
In addition, I have made a series of seven panels each representing the prinicpal faith communities in the Sandwell area. Each panel is 30cm square.
